Who Is Mary Phang?

An Esteemed Realtor Catering to Your Needs

Integrity, hard work and an intense desire to make something of her life have propelled Mary Phang to success. This conscientious agent goes beyond the call of duty to provide the ultimate experience when buying or selling a home. She cares, and she is committed to delivering value.

Mary has a personal touch and, to meet the many varied demands of her clients, she provides customized packages that cater to their needs.

This Realtor is inherently a shy character.  However, it is precisely this reason why so many clients are attracted to her.  Many of them are very much like her, and are comfortable with her calm and quiet nature.

They appreciate Mary's ability to step back and simply guide them with a gentle hand and in the right direction.  Mary listens, and her thoughtful demeanor and non-evasive nature creates a warm and relaxed experience.  Mary's goal is to find the best way to meet her clients' interests.  She first conceives the right strategy, and then finds the most feasible way to implement it.

This Realtor's style of service is very much about patience.  Mary takes time to determine her clients' wants and needs.  She focuses on al the little details before ensuring what her next move is.  Her compassion is visible, and clients respond to her.  She is always equipped with a wealth of information because Mary spends a great deal of time on research.  Her philosophy is, "Let the property sell the buyer, rather than pushing the sale."

Client, Le Nguyen eloquently writes about the experience with Mary.

"I wish to express my appreciation for your outstanding services in selling my house and purchasing my new home. I have worked in the legal profession for many years and, in the process, have been in contact with many real estate agents and brokers, some trustworthy and ethical and some not. Your reputation for honesty preceded you, and I knew I could trust you completely. This was of utmost importance to me as a home is the biggest investment I will ever make.

I began to appreciate just how difficult your job is once the process of buying my new home and selling the old one began. You were patient and professional in explaining the many facets of the choices available. Your advise was invaluable and greatly appreciated, and all the hard work you did was phenomenal. We are very grateful for the effort you invested, negotiating into the long hours of the night and doing such a remarkable job.

This project had many challenges, including you having to please my entire family. My budget was tight and the market was doing poorly, and I also had my demands of what my perfect home should be. You went above our wildest expectations and found a lovely home at the right price we all could enjoy and will perhaps never leave. We felt this was well above and beyond the call of duty, but you did it cheerfully and courteously. I cannot recommend you highly enough."

Mary's Journey

The path Mary travelled to be where she is today represents a long journey marked by many trials.  Mary emigrated from Taiwan.  She came to Canada to study, and fell in love with the country.  Determined to make a better life in her new home, Mary worked hard.  "I always believe that whatever I do will get me somewhere - maybe not now, but down the road."

Mary studied Accounting at George Brown College.  She also studied Business at York University.  She started to work during the recession, taking odd jobs in accounting.  Work was tough to find, and she needed another income to supplement her expenses.  She began to look for other options and decided on becoming a Realtor. She did so well that she left accounting to pursue a full time career in her new profession.

Mary joined Royal LePage Connect Realty, Brokerage, a company that has carved a sterling reputation for itself for over a century.
Royal LePage Connect Realty, Brokerage is comprised of many offices in the Greater Toronto Area, and is staffed by experienced professionals.

Mary represents both buyers and sellers.  When she works with buyers, Mary takes the time to explain to her clients the many details of purchasing a home, including the carrying cost, features surrounding a mortgage, and hidden costs involved in the purchase of a home, to ensure an accurate budget.

Sellers can look forward to Mary helping them to decorate their home, arrange for a cleaning lady, and provide the necessary information on how finances should be spent on renovations, in order to maximize the price of a home.

Mary services all of the Greater Toronto Area, whether it is in Oakville in the west, or Oshawa in the east.  The properties she works with are in the mid-price range, and can be either a condo or a large-size family home.

One of Mary's specialties is helping her clients find the right investment property.  This represents a substantial portion of her business.  Her experience in accounting and her flair for numbers makes her the right choice for someone looking to expand their assets to have a more comprehensive portfolio.

She also spends significant time researching to find the right home for her buyers.  One source she uses extensively is the Multiple Listings Service (MLS).  She balances technology with a direct approach, and often questions the neighbours of a prospective home regarding what the area is like to ensure the right fit for her buyer.  Mary consistently advertises in 'Resale Homes' and various Chinese newspapers.

This award-winning Realtor has been the recipient of the President's Elite Award for five consecutive years and, before that, the President's Award for the highest sales in the company.  That is a testament to her hard work and drive. "In Taiwan, whatever you do, you have to work hard to be a success.  In real estate I work until two or three in the morning.  It is important for me to get the best and most comprehensive information for my clients in a timely manner.  I also want my father to be proud of me.  He died when I was in high school. Coming from a traditional Chinese family, I had to mourn quietly and continue to complete my education."

Clearly Mary loves what she does, especially her interactions with people.  She enjoys meeting so many new people from all walks of life.  She looks forward to the challenges she has to deal with and the unexpected.  For her, there is excitement - never knowing what is around the corner - and she thrives trying to meet people's expectations.

That is why she works harder than most of her peers, along with the sense of satisfaction she gets when she sees the smiles of her clients when they get that home they have dreamt about.

"Real estate is my life, and I will want to continue to do what I do for at least the next ten years." Mary enjoys the significant amount of time she spends with her clients.  She is inspired by her desire to make more of her life and to be of service to others.

The many years working in this profession have taught Mary many valuable lessons, including how to work with so many kinds of people with a wide assortment of demands.

Mary is grateful to all of her clients for their referrals and continuous support.  This is a big encouragement for her.  She looks forward to a future ripe with possibilities and many more years of doing what she loves best - serving her clients and her community.  If you are looking for a Realtor who is compassionate and takes the time to listen, call Mary who would be delighted to help you.
